4 cups water
1 (400 g) can diced tomatoes
1 (150 g) pc cabbage, shredded
1/2 kg PUREFOODS FIESTA HAM, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 (100 g) pc carrot, sliced
2 (20 g) stalks celery, chopped
1 (100 ) pc onion, chopped
1 (50 g) pc green bell pepper, chopped
1 (400 g) can cooked kidney beans, drained
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 pc bay leaves (laurel)


  1. In a large pot, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.
  2. Cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Remove bay leaves and transfer to a bowl.

Makes 7 servings.
(Yield: 7 cups of ham stew / 1 cup per serving)
