SINIGANG NA CORNED BEEF


Ingredients:

2 (8 cups) L water
1 (100 g) pc onion, sliced
2 (50 g each) pc tomatoes, sliced
1 (20 g) pack store bought sinigang mix
1 (50 g) pc labanos, sliced
2 (40 g) bundles sitaw, sliced 2” long
1 (380 g) can PUREFOODS CORNED BEEF WITH CHUNKS
1 (50 g) bundle kangkong, use tender leaves and stalks

Procedure:

  1. In a pot, combine water, onion, tomatoes and sinigang mix. Let simmer.
  2. Add labanos, sitaw and cook until vegetables are tender then add corned beef. Let simmer.
  3. Add kangkong and cook just until color turns bright.

Makes 5 servings. Tip/s: 

  • Less tender vegetables take about 10-15 minutes to cook. Add these vegetables when the stock is simmering or boiling.
  • Leafy greens should always be added last and cooked just until these turn bright in color.
  • Partner sinigang with something fried.
