QUESO DE BOLA CHICKEN CORDON BLEU


Ingredients:

6 (3/4 kg) pc MAGNOLIA CHICKEN STATION BREAST FILLETS
1/4 tsp iodized fine salt
1/8 tsp pepper
4 cloves garlic, finely crushed
6 pc PUREFOODS SWEET HAM
6 (210 g) pc 1/2-inch thick MAGNOLIA QUESO DE BOLA sticks
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
2 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs
2 cups cooking oil, for frying

Procedure:

  1. Place chicken between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound flat until about 1/2 cm thick with a heavy meat mallet, rolling pin or heavy pan.
  2. Rub chicken with salt, pepper and garlic.
  3. Place a piece of ham and cheese, then evenly roll chicken and place onto a new sheet of plastic wrap and secure by twisting excess plastic on the sides. Repeat with remaining chicken and ingredients. Chill chicken rolls in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  4. Unwrap chicken rolls and dredge in flour, dip in eggs and coat with breadcrumbs. Deep-fry in hot oil for about 5 minutes per side or until cooked through. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Makes 6 servings.
(Yield:  6 pc/1 pc per serving)

Tip/s:

  • Best to use Japanese breadcrumbs for this recipe.

Note/s:

  • Use 1 tbsp chopped parsley as garnish.
