PUREFOODS BACON LECHE FLAN


Ingredients:

2 cups sugar
2-1/2 cups MAGNOLIA FRESH MILK
1 can (390 g) condensed milk
8 pcs MAGNOLIA BROWN EGG, use egg yolks only
1 pc (44 g) dayap, get 2 tbsp zest
1 pack (250 g) PUREFOODS Classic Honeycured Bacon, cooked according to package directions then chopped

Procedure:

  1. Dissolve 1 cup sugar over moderate heat to caramelize. Pour evenly on bottom and sides of llanera (leche flan mold or 6 small round molds). Set aside.
  2. Combine milk, condensed milk, sugar, eggs, and dayap in a bowl. Mix until well blended. Strain mixture using a cheese cloth or a fine mesh. Pour into mold/s. Steam for 2 hours or bake in a water bath for 45 minutes at 375°F.
  3. Chill before serving. Unmold by inverting flan onto a serving platter. Top with bacon.
