MONTECRISTO SANDWICHES


Ingredients:

8 pc sliced bread
1/4 cup DARI CREME, softened
1/4 cup MAGNOLIA REAL MAYONNAISE
4 tsp prepared mustard
1 pack PUREFOODS CHICKEN HAM
1 (160 g) pack MAGNOLIA QUICKMELT CHEESE, sliced horizontally into 8
2 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS
1 (250 mL) pack MAGNOLIA FRESH MILK

Procedure:

  1. On one side of bread, spread margarine evenly. Turn over bread and spread evenly mayonnaise on 4 slices and mustard on the remaining slices.
  2. On half slices of bread with mayonnaise facing up, arrange cheese, ham and cheese. Cover with remaining slices of bread to form sandwiches.
  3. In a bowl, beat eggs and milk. 
  4. Heat a lightly greased pan. Coat each sandwich in egg mixture and cook until golden brown on both sides.   

 

Makes 8 servings.

(Yield: 8 sandwiches/1 sandwich per serving)

 

Tip/s:

  • Use whole wheat bread as a healthier option.
  • Use day old bread so sandwich is more firm.
  • Test freshness of an egg by putting it in water. If it sinks to the bottom, it is fresh.
  • Double amount of PUREFOODS CHICKEN HAM for a meatier sandwich.
  • Serve sandwiches with classic French Fries or onion rings.
