MEAT-FREE SPICY SOY GARLIC BALLS BANH MI


Ingredients:

1 (160 g) pack VEEGA MEAT-FREE SPICY SOY GARLIC BALLS
1/4 cup cane vinegar
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
1 (125 g) pc radish, peeled and shredded
1 (70 g) pc carrot, peeled and shredded
1 pc 16-inch French bread
1/2 cup MAGNOLIA REAL MAYONNAISE
5 (70 g) pc curly lettuce
1 (15 g) pack cilantro (wansoy), use tender leaves and stalks

Procedure:

  1. Reheat meat-free spicy soy garlic balls according to package directions and then cut each ball in half. Set aside but keep warm.
  2. In a bowl, combine vinegar, sugar, and salt and mix until sugar is dissolved. Add radish and carrot and mix well. Marinate for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain before using.
  3. If desired, heat baguette in the oven toaster or pan for a few minutes and then split baguette in half lengthwise.
  4. Spread mayonnaise on sides of bread. On bottom half of bread, arrange lettuce and then top with soy garlic balls, slaw and cilantro. Cover with remaining half of bread to make a sandwich. Divide sandwich into 4 and serve.

Makes 4 servings.
(Yield: 4 pc sandwiches/1 sandwich per serving)
