CORNED BEEF CREAM CHEESE BALLS


Ingredients:

1 (210 g) can PUREFOODS CORNED BEEF
1 (225 g) pack MAGNOLIA CREAM CHEESE, cubed and softened
400 g potatoes, peeled, boiled and mashed
1/2 tsp iodized fine salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tbsp paprika

Breading:

1 (120 g) cup MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
3 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, beaten
2 (200 g) cups Japanese breadcrumbs
3 cups cooking oil

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, combine corned beef, cream cheese, mashed potatoes, salt, pepper and paprika. Mix well and cool down.
  2. Form every 2 tablespoons of mixture (30 g) into balls. Cover and chill for 10 minutes.
  3. Roll balls in flour. Dip in egg and then roll in breadcrumbs. Repea process to double coat.
  4. Deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain excess oil on rack or paper towels.

Makes 8 servings
