BURGER BENEDICT STYLE


Ingredients:

6 pc bagel, split
6 (120 g) pc Romaine lettuce leaves
6 pc PUREFOODS DELI BREAKFAST SAUSAGE PATTY
1 (160 g) pack MAGNOLIA CHEEZEE, sliced into 12
6 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, fried sunny side up or poached
1 (15 g) stalk parsley, chopped

Hollandaise:

1 (100 g) bar MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER SALTED
2 pc MAGNOLIA BROWN EGGS, use yolks only
1 tsp prepared mustard
1 tbsp lemon juice

Procedure:

  1. To make hollandaise, melt butter in a pan and set aside. Keep warm. In a heat proof bowl, combine egg yolks, mustard, and lemon juice. Place bowl on top of saucepan/pot with boiling water. Gradually add butter while continuously whisking until thick and smooth.
  2. In a pan, cook sausage patty frozen in a pan for 2 to 2-1/2 minutes per side until cooked through. Set aside.
  3. In another pan, lightly toast bagel split side down. Spread some hollandaise on bottom part of bagel. Add lettuce, burger patty, cheese, and egg. Pour hollandaise and sprinkle with parsley. Place top part of the bagel on the side.

Make 6 servings.
(Yield: 6 sandwiches/1 sandwich per serving)
